ClearDetections is a small private enterprise focused on delivering revolutionary plant disease Diagnostic tools to our clients Worldwide. We develop and produce Real-Time PCR Diagnostic kits for relevant plant pests and we work close together with Wageningen University, plant Health authorities and reference labs, to ensure top quality personalized products and services that respond to stakeholders needs.
We were born with the intention of offering agricultural laboratories a turnkey solution for plant health diagnosis, in particular, pathogenic nematodes. The conserved morphology of nematodes means that their identification requires expert knowledge. Current nematode analyses are mostly based on microscopic examinations with limited throughput, sensitivity and specificity. This hampers standardized control for quarantine nematode species in importing and exporting countries. What is the alternative?
The DNA-bar coded based detection methods developed by ClearDetections. The use of molecular methods to detect pathogens has been adopted for all sorts of organisms. Why not do it for nematodes? As a company we saw the importance of providing a more accurate, up-scalable and cost-effective solution for the identification of nematodes to laboratories worldwide.
We started by selling Real-Time PCR based assays for nematodes. Since then, we have not stopped growing. The scope of our business has evolved and expanded to more products and services: DNA extraction kits, diagnostic kits for more organisms, custom made services and more!
As a company it is our mission to provide our customers with solutions to the challenges associated with plant pathogens detection. We aim at supporting you at any point of the diagnosis process: from obtaining the DNA till the detection and identification of the targeted pathogen.

Operational and product quality lie at the very heart of ClearDetections. We understand fully the need for quality in all we do, and how this is reflected in customer confidence.
One of our important aims is to keep a close relationship with the European and Mediterranean Plant Protection Organisation (EPPO) and accreditation bodies, and so that our technical expertise is recognized and accredited. This has already resulted in several of ClearDetections diagnostic tests being included in EPPO’s standards.
ClearDetections follows stringent procedures in Production, Manufacturing & Shipping. All ClearDetections products are manufactured in an environmentally controlled area and manner. During manufacture, quality control (QC) checks are carried out at all key points. Upon request we send the Certificate of Analysis and MSDS sheet correspondent to a specific product.
All staff are trained in quality improvement, and take an active role in process evolution to maintain standards. We are always keen to receive comments and customer feedback on issues of quality, and these can be sent to us via our contact form.
We are also in the process of obtaining ISO9001:2015 accreditation for the development and manufacture of real-time PCR diagnosis. We invite quality audits from our customers at any stage of the relationship to ensure that we are providing products to the required quality. All our products are fully traceable from the raw materials right through to the final end user.
